Forgive me please for being late with this posting.  This photo is from the MRI on May 28 at Evanston Hospital.  Dr. Paleologos agreed that some of the white mass is probably remaining tumor near the speech center.  She is not able to say how much of the mass might be radiation scarring.  Dr. Bugno, my radiation oncologist, has also reviewed the scan.  He thinks the relative consistency from one image to the next is a good sign, in that it doesn’t suggest the need for more treatment immediately.

With the advice of other doctors and members of the Brain Tumor Support Group, I am exploring other neuro-oncologists that come highly recommended.  I hope to set up meetings in July and August to see if we might make a good team.  I want to stay in the Chicago area at a research/teaching hospital with a strong commitment to neuro-oncology.  I would welcome your input.  Meanwhile, I have set an early September appt. for my next MRI at Evanston.  I am uncertain with whom I will meet to sort out the details.
