I am starting the New Year tomorrow with a good spirit and positive outlook. I hope all of you are doing the same. I had the radiation follow-up last week with the radiation oncologist. No bad news, though he reminded me that my hair might not regrow. He is intelligent and personable. I feel lucky to have had his help.
Next Wednesday is the MRI in Evanston, followed by a meeting with Dr. Paleologos. This will be the first chance to see what effect the radiation had on the tumor. I am hoping not to see any of it, though I know it will eventually return. Keep your fingers crossed.
Our friend Norm (best man at our wedding) called yesterday, in part to tell me his sister has been diagnosed with a small cell carcinoma that is putting pressure on an artery. The doctor saw some of her arm swelling and decided to put her in the hospital immediately. She had her first chemo infusion last night and will stay in the hospital two more days for the next two. She sounded good when we talked this morning. Please keep her in your prayers.
My photo today is of most of the youngest generation in our family, all wearing the ear flap hats that everyone received from me for Christmas. The three families met at the zoo in Providence, RI this week and had fun. Don’t you love these smiles?
Be happy.

Happy New Year Dorothy!!! LOVE that picture!!! Totally fabulous!!! Love you!
