There is no predicting what will come next when you have cancer. This morning I was bald. Now I’m a blonde. After radiation today, the social worker talked me in to trying on a few of the American Cancer Society wigs. Despite my telling her I did not want to be blonde, she was sure I would soon wake up and wish I was blonde. I told her it had happened 40 years ago, but not often since. She assured me I was wrong.
So, I did order one that was light brown with blonde streaks, but she talked me in to wearing this one out. In fact, she was sure the receptionist, whom I’ve known for years, wouldn’t even notice the difference. She was wrong. In fact, Sue seemed delighted and assured me I was made to be blonde. (Do you think they get a stipend for giving away blonde wigs?) So, here I am blonde. In fact, I’m starting to like it…
Actually, you do look super cute as a blonde!
