I just spoke to the head surgeon Dr Byrne.
He was very pleased with the results of the surgery.
He indicated that Dorothy spoke throughout the procedure and after the tumor was removed.
He said that his preliminary indications are that Dorth will retain most or all of her speech function.
They are still in surgery closing her up.
She will be in ICU for a day or so.
They are most concerned about possible siezure or swelling.
If there is no evidence of these after 2 or 3 days, she will then be released to go home.
Continue to think positive thoughts, and continue to pray for her.
It appears that your efforts to support her are working well!
